Dr. Carl­bom is an Asso­ciate Pro­fes­sor in the Divi­sion of Pul­monary Crit­i­cal Care and the Direc­tor of Para­medic Train­ing. His is inter­ested in teach­ing resus­ci­ta­tion, and he is a regional expert on sep­sis and post-resuscitation care. He has pub­li­ca­tions in air­way edu­ca­tion, sep­sis, and ther­a­peu­tic hypother­mia. He is rec­og­nized as a clin­i­cal & edu­ca­tion leader, and spends time edu­cat­ing para­medics, stu­dents, res­i­dents, fel­lows, nurses and colleagues.
